Newsletter Gravity Forms Addon
The Newsletter Gravity Forms Addon is a tool that allows users to connect their Gravity Forms with the Newsletter plugin. It supports opt-in, list selection, and field mapping. To use the addon, users must first create a Gravity form, such as a contact form with a newsletter opt-in option or a dedicated subscription form. The form can then be connected to the Newsletter plugin through the “Gravity Forms” entry in the Newsletter sidebar menu. In the configuration panel, users can map subscriber fields to form fields and set additional options. If the user wants to offer public lists for subscribers to choose from, they can add a “checkboxes” field to the Gravity form and map it to the actual lists managed in the Newsletter plugin. Users can also select if they want to enforce list assignments during the subscription process and choose whether to grab subscriptions in a confirmed or unconfirmed status. The subscription process can be made optional or required, and a consent field can be added to the form if desired.
- Create a Gravity form: You can create a contact form with a newsletter opt-in option or a dedicated form for collecting subscriptions. Design the form with Gravity, adding all the fields you need to collect. At least an email field is required.
- Add a consent checkbox: If you want to show a consent checkbox, use the special field named “consent” provided by Gravity. Map this field as a condition to start or not start a subscription.
- Map form fields to subscriber fields: In the Newsletter plugin sidebar menu, select the “Gravity Forms” entry. You’ll see the list of all your Gravity forms. Press “Configure” on the one you want to connect with Newsletter and you’ll see a panel where all subscriber fields can be mapped to form fields.
- Map checkboxes to lists (optional): If you want to offer public lists to choose upon, add a “checkboxes” field to your Gravity form. Map those checkboxes to the actual lists you’re managing in the Newsletter plugin.
- Configure subscription status: You can select if you want to grab subscriptions in a confirmed or unconfirmed status. Unconfirmed subscriptions need to be activated and Newsletter will send the classical activation email.
- Set subscription as optional (optional): If the subscription is collected anyway, you should not add a consent field and you should set the configuration as shown in the picture below.
By using Newsletter Gravity Forms Add-On, you can grow your mailing list with a customer opt-in form and ensure it is functional as well as attractive.
